Críticas en vivo
Gers Pardoel’s distinctive Dutch accent rang across the auditorium as he ran out on stage to welcome everyone to the show and say good evening to everyone. The crowd were cheering and going crazy, as his band played an awesome prelude for his set. I first started listening to his music when he released Broodje Bakpao, his collaboration with Big2, and New Kids, and from the first listen, I knew he would be a lot of fun to watch live.
He was great at interacting with the audience, and before he even started his performance he shouted out to check that everyone was having a good evening and enjoying the show. His combination of rapping and melodic speaking is wonderful, and something I’ve not heard many artists tackle before. He opened the show with his track Louise, which everyone in the audience seemed to know inside out, and we were all singing along enthusiastically.
The vocal performance against the pianist he had supporting him was a magical combination that had everyone shivering with goose bumps, as he performed his hit tracks with such feeling and dedication. It was a powerful show, and a real demonstration of original talent.
