Har Mar Superstar

Sean Matthew Tillmann, aka. Har Mar Superstar is a singer/songwriter who works under an alter ego, producing R&B and pop tracks. His work in alteregoism has him adopting several characteristics of Ron Jeremy, the porn star, and performs his shows almost naked.
As his shows became more and more theatrical, he was adding female dancers to his set and his costumes were becoming more elaborate, so I really didn’t know what to expect seeing him live. He walked on stage in his underpants and a pair of glittery gloves, and looked even more bare next to his fully dressed band. He said that he was going to play an ironic set, so he visited some of his earlier music that is mainly satirical and tongue in cheek R&B. He opened the show with Rhythm Bruises, before moving on to some of his newer material. Although the gig was bizarre, that’s something that you just need to accept from a Har Mar Superstar show, it was a lot of fun. He was great at interacting with the audience, and shouting out for everyone to join in. Not many people knew his newer material that well, so he even taught us the hook lines to repeat back which was great. The atmosphere really made the show, and everyone was having a lot of fun with Har Mar!
