Orchestra of the Swan

Join us in the beautiful surroundings of Holy Trinity Church for a celebratory Last Night of the Proms marking 30 years of Stratford Music Festival.
Bringing together principal players from Orchestra of the Swan with members of Swan Youth Orchestra and amateur musicians from across Warwickshire, this special festival ensemble celebrates music-making across the generations.

Conducted by Bruce O’Neil and featuring baritone David John Pike, the programme brings together some of the best-loved music in the British orchestral and choral repertoire. Vaughan
Williams’s Fantasia on Greensleeves and Five Mystical Songs sit alongside Elgar’s Nimrod, Walton’s music for Henry V and Eric Coates’s stirring The Dambusters March.

The evening culminates in true Last Night tradition with Sir Henry Wood’s Fantasia on British Sea Songs, Elgar’s Pomp and Circumstance March No. 1, Parry’s Jerusalem and God Save the
King – a suitably rousing finale to the Festival’s 30th anniversary celebrations
