Set in the heart of Lower Clapton, Blondies is a dive bar in East London owned by the Australian sisters. With Verity, fronting as the Operations Manager for the bar and Sharmaine, Verity’s direct business partner and sister Sharmaine standing in-charge of the general direction of the bar’s image, décor and merchandising. Their third sister, Rochelle is also responsible for creating all of the images for their merchandise and beer line. Between the sisters and their friend, Rob Nye, they all built the bar from start to finish, from concreting to plastering and carpentry.
Blondies tries to push the boundaries of the standard understanding of bar normality in London, making sure there is something for everyone and a night extremely well spent, from live music, metal nights and gigs, to soul jams, disco bingo, BBQs and exhibitions.
With help from their tattoo artist friends, awesome décor runs throughout the bar including the walls of the beautifully and dimly lit beer garden.
